Paris Baguette in Toronto is seeking a Cake Team Member to help decorate and produce desserts, pastries and cakes in a busy bakery café setting. This role focuses on quality confectionery work and delivering visually appealing products to guests.

You will follow recipes, maintain clean stations, and work as part of a friendly team to ensure fresh, high-quality items are available for guests throughout each shift.

Thiscandidate will be responsible for ensuring the confectionary execution of allcakes, pastries and desserts. KNOWLEDGE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for scaling, decorating and producing of allDesserts, Pastries and Cakes
• General knowledge of production methods and organization ofConfectionary production
• Learn new products and skills and has ability to demonstrateproper techniques to new cakers
• Sanitization procedures, maintaining overall cleanliness ofwork station
• Must be able to manage time and skills with strongorganization
• Knowledge of all recipes and procedures of all production
• Ensure cake display is presentable for internal and externalcustomers
• Make creams and sauces for cakes and pastries
• Receive, stock, and store food in designated containers andstorage areas in an organized manner
• Inform supervisor when equipment is not working properly andmanage when food supplies are getting low
• Perform other related duties as assigned

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE

• Knowledge on food producing process, sanitization, qualityprogram
• Knowledge on food producing technique, food microbiology,and food sanitary safety practice/procedure
• Food safety, food labeling, nutrition related knowledge(include FDA)
• Confectionery/Foods major recommended
• Food Handler’s Certificate, preferred
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a teamenvironment
• Ability to multi-task
• Multiple priority management abilities
