Job summary

Paris Baguette UK is seeking a friendly Sandwich Team Member to support daily bakery café operations in Toronto. You will prepare sandwiches and salads, assist across the restaurant, and help deliver the brand's warm, joyful customer experience.

This role requires at least 1 year of food handling, strong knife skills, good math for portions, and a collaborative attitude. You’ll maintain displays, manage inventory, and ensure cleanliness and safety throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of food handling or related experience.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and knife handling.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
• Stellar customer service, both internally and externally.
• High emotional intelligence with the ability to work with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of sandwiches and salads.
• Be a team player, assist and support in all areas of the restaurant when needed.
• Make dressings and sauces for sandwiches and pastries.
• Ensure sandwich display is presentable for customers.
• Complete reports for records such as production, usage and waste.
• Order product and materials as necessary.
• Maintain daily par levels and restock station orders.
• Demonstrate knowledge of the brand and menu items.
• Inform supervisor when equipment or stock is low.
• Bi-monthly and monthly inventory assessments.
• Clean and sanitize all areas and equipment.
• Receive stock and store food properly.

Knowledge And Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of sandwiches and salads.
• Being a team player assist and support in all areas of restaurant when needed
• Makes dressings and sauces for sandwiches and pastries.
• Ensures sandwich display is presentable for internal and external customers
• Completes various reports for records such as; production, usage and waste
• Order product and materials, as necessary
• Maintains daily par levels and restocks station orders set up orders
• Demonstrates knowledge of the brand and menu items
• Informs supervisor when equipment is not working properly and when food supplies are getting low.
• Bi-monthly and monthly inventory assessment.
• Clean and sanitizes refrigerator, freezer and storage; work areas (counters/floors), equipment, containers, utensils and dishes.
• Receive stock and store food in designated containers and storage areas in an organized manner.

What You Need To Have

• Minimum of 1 year of food handling or related experience
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and knife handling
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Stellar customer service, both internally and externally.
