Café Lunette, part of Freehand Hospitality, is seeking a full-time Bartender for our Halifax location. You will craft classic cocktails, assist guests with wine knowledge, and provide warm, personalized service in a vibrant setting.

Ideal candidates hold a Smart Serve certification, have wine/beer knowledge, and enjoy a collaborative team environment with growth opportunities and strong tips. Join us for a dynamic French-inspired experience.

Responsibilities

• Create a positive guest experience through friendly interaction and service steps.
• Make beverage recommendations considering preferences and dietary needs.
• Receive drink orders, prepare drinks, and ensure quality.
• Explain beverage descriptions, specials, and information to guests and staff.
• Stock bar supplies and maintain mise en place.
• Monitor beer keg and liquor levels and assist with inventory.
• Count beverages and assist with inventory ordering and restocking.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Description

We are looking for a full-time Bartender at Café Lunette with an in-depth knowledge of delicious classic cocktails, desire to craft signature drinks, decent wine knowledge and a flair for creating memorable guests’ experiences, bringing energy and personality to every interaction.

What you will be doing as a Bartender:

• Creating a positive guest experience through interaction and adherence to the steps of service;
• Providing guest with food & beverage suggestions, while taking in consideration preferences, allergies, and dietary restrictions;
• Promptly receive drink order chits and prepare beverages;
• Communicating beverage descriptions, special and information to guests and team members;
• Stocking and maintaining all bar products including mise en place;
• Checking and maintaining beer keg and liquor levels;
• Counting and taking inventory of all beverages and supplies and assist manager with inventory ordering;
• Such other related duties and responsibilities as may be required from time to time.

The person we are looking for has:

• A valid Smart Serve Certification;
• Moderate wine, beer and classic cocktail knowledge;
• Passion for food, beverage and providing excellent customer service;
• Excellent observation skills & high attention to detail, offering a helping hand to all guests whenever needed, before they even need to ask;
• Strong communication skills.
