Are you ready to advance your culinary career? Café Boulud is seeking a passionate Sous Chef eager to learn and contribute to our culinary team. As a key leader, you will help deliver memorable culinary experiences to our guests. This role reports to the Executive Café Boulud Chef.
About the role:
The Café Boulud Sous Chef supervises daily kitchen operations, oversees Junior Sous Chefs, and reports to the Executive Chef. Responsibilities include selecting, training, evaluating, leading, motivating, coaching, and disciplining staff to meet cultural and core standards. The role involves strategic planning, controlling labor and operating expenses, effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing, inventory management, and creative revenue generation to maximize profit.
What you will bring:
We seek talented individuals with solid food knowledge, a passion for management development within the hotel industry, creativity, guidance skills, business acumen, and a strong work ethic. Attendance at training and special events is required.
