We are seeking a talented and creative Banquet Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The Banquet Sous Chef will oversee the daily operations of the banqueting, Room Service, and Employee Dining kitchens, working alongside the Banquet Chef. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, controlling, and directing kitchen staff to prepare food for banquet functions, ensuring quality and consistency. Managing food costs and controlling production to minimize waste, as well as providing culinary training to kitchen staff daily, are key aspects of the role. The Banquet Sous Chef reports directly to the Banquet Chef.
Preferred qualifications and skills:
Ideal candidates will possess a solid knowledge of food, a passion for developing management skills within the hotel industry, creativity, and the ability to guide others. Good business acumen and a strong work ethic are essential. The candidate should have an outgoing personality and a proactive approach. Applicants must have three to five years of diverse operational kitchen experience, along with supervisory and management experience.
