Job summary

Four Seasons Hotel Toronto is seeking a talented Part-Time Café Boulud Server who loves hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences. You will greet guests, take reservations, and provide knowledgeable service in a busy, upscale setting.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of server experience, strong English communication, wine and food knowledge, and a valid Smart Serve certification. A flexible schedule including mornings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• High level of wine and food knowledge, especially in French cuisine.
• Excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and flexible availability.
• Smart Serve certification required.
• Greet and seat guests, take reservations, and use POS system.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional dining service per Café Boulud standards.
• Anticipate and respond to guests' needs.
• Learn menu options, beverages, and daily specials.

About The Role

Chef Daniel Boulud’s French Brasserie, Café Boulud serves a seasonally-changing menu rooted in the French tradition, highlighting both brasserie classics and contemporary dishes inspired by Chef Daniel’s family meals in Lyon.

The Server is an essential member of the Café Boulud team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. The position provides an enjoyable, expertly served dining experience conforming to Café Boulud standards of excellence for quality, professionalism and friendliness. They anticipate and services guests’ needs before being asked and are knowledgeable about all available menu options, beverage lists and daily specials.

What You Will Bring

We are looking for an individual who possesses an affinity for guest service! This position requires an applicant with a high level of wine and food knowledge, especially in French cuisine. Candidates must have excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills. The ability to perform this position to Café Boulud standards and learn the sequence of service is required. Servers are also required to perform additional side work, greet and seat guests in the absence of the host, take reservations and have the ability to use the POS System. The position requires the ability to lift up to 40lbs and applicants must have a flexible availability with the ability to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays. The ideal candidate will have an outgoing personality and a can-do approach to any request!

Valid Smart Serve certification is a must.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

• 1-2 years previous server experience in a fast paced food and beverage operation
• Exceptional communication skills and command of English language
• Additional language a definite asset for career growth
