Anarchy Coffee Roasters is a small-batch coffee roastery based in Kelowna, BC, Canada. We have one location that is our main facility that is home to all of our coffee related operations. This space is also equipped with a fully operational cafe space that welcomes customers to enjoy our coffee, and light food offerings. Position Summary:

This dual-role position is ideal for someone with foundational experience in specialty coffee who is looking to grow their skills in both café service and coffee production. This Café & Production Assistant position supports daily café operations while assisting the production team with packaging and order prep, ensuring high standards across both customer service and product quality. This position is tailored for someone looking to have a lasting career in coffee and become an expert in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

Café Responsibilities:

• Prepare espresso-based and brewed coffee beverages to specialty standards
• Maintain dial-in quality and consistency across all drinks during shift
• Provide warm, informed customer service and educate guests on our coffee offerings
• Operate POS system and handle transactions accurately
• Follow opening, mid, and closing protocols for bar cleanliness and efficiency
• Support café restocking and inventory rotation

Production Responsibilities:

• Assist with packaging roasted coffee, labeling, and fulfilling retail and wholesale orders
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the production area
• Restock retail shelves and help prepare displays for new product launches
• Perform routine tasks such as weighing, sealing, and batching with attention to accuracy
• Able to follow food safety and traceability protocols

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 6+ months of experience in a specialty café or roastery environment
• Strong foundational knowledge of coffee extraction, espresso parameters, and brew methods
• Detail-oriented with the ability to balance speed, precision, and multitasking
• Comfortable with repetitive production tasks and able to lift up to 40 lbs
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to grow within the company and take on more responsibility over time
• FoodSafe Certificate

Schedule / Expectations:

• Part- to full-time (8-30 hrs/week), including weekends
• Must be flexible to switch between café and production duties as needed
• Reports to General Manager and Head Roaster
• Base salary $20/hour
