Job summary

Jobtailor in Calgary is seeking a CAD Drafter to update and standardize legacy mechanical drawings using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor. You will collaborate with engineers, project managers, and East Coast contractors to align drawings with live project specs.

You will review data sheets, maintain drafting standards, manage documentation and archives, and assist with PO tracking and invoice processing while communicating across time zones.

Qualifications

• Completed coursework, certificate, or diploma in CAD from a recognized institution.
• Hands-on experience using AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
• Proficiency in Google Suite and MS Office (Excel & Word).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A natural mechanical aptitude or practical background is an asset.
• A fresh perspective and a high level of motivation to streamline drafting workflows.

Responsibilities

• Update and standardize mechanical drawings using CAD tools.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and contractors across time zones.
• Review technical data sheets and maintain drafting standards.
• Manage project documentation and drawing archives.
• Assist with ordering parts, tracking POs, and processing invoices.
