Summary

Reporting to the Manager - Facilities,the CAD Designer (Co-Op)is responsible for reviewing and updating the electrical and / or mechanical designs of our manufacturingfacility.

Work Term : Winter 2025 (Jan - Aug 2025)

Work Arrangement : Hybrid, 4 days on-site

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

  • Review and update plant layout documents / drawings using AutoCAD
  • Ensure that all drawings are in accordance with S&C’s design standards
  • Ensure backup of all CAD designs
  • Perform data entry to set up and maintain parts storage in our facilities software system
  • Assist the Project Coordinator and ensure that capital budget projects are following project timelines
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives for S&C’s drawing process
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

  • Registered in a diploma or degree engineering co-op program (industrial, electrical, mechanical or civil)
  • Eligible for an 8 month Co-op Term (Winer 2025)
  • Completed coursework and experience using AutoCAD
  • Positive, flexible team‐oriented approach, with the willingness and desire to work as part of a team as well as independently
  • Self‐motivated with the ability to take initiative
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented, resourceful
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
