Newmarket Electric Supply is seeking a cable installer to perform on-site telecom wiring and maintenance in Newmarket, ON. The role involves installing aerial and underground cables, reading blueprints, and ensuring test signals and systems operate correctly.

Applicants should have 3–5 years of related experience, possess a high school diploma, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. The position is permanent full-time and on-site only.

Qualificações

• Inspect trunking systems
• Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment
• Read blueprints to determine work requirements
• Repair cable signals
• Test trunking systems
• Test equipment to locate transmission faults
• Install trunking systems, circuits and equipment
• Instruct apprentices
• Complete and maintain test and service reports
• Determine nature, cause and location of trouble
• Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders or other support structures
• Connect, disconnect and relocate cable outlets
• Determine work assignments
• Install cable modems and software to enable Internet access
• Maintain and repair aerial and underground transmission systems
• Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers and amplifiers
• Splice, join and connect wires
