We are currently seeking applicants for a Cable Installer - Electrical Power position to assist our client. We welcome you to submit your application, if you are interested.

Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.

Work site environment: Outdoors. Dangerous. At heights.

Work setting: Electric power company. Electrical contractor. Remote location.

Tasks:
  • Splice, solder and insulate conductors and related wiring to connect power distribution and transmission networks.
  • Climb ladders or operate hydraulic buckets when working aloft on poles and towers, or work in confined spaces such as trenches and tunnels to install power lines and cables and associated equipment.
  • Communicate with other workers to co-ordinate the preparation and completion of work assignments.
  • Work in confined spaces to install power lines and cables and associated equipment.

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Tight deadlines.
