Job summary

Cabico seeks a skilled cabinet painter to join our Sherbrooke production team. You will use a spray gun to apply finishes to cabinets and components, ensuring high quality and durability. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for long periods, and working in a dusty environment.

Qualifications

• Experience painting cabinetry, wood products, or similar materials.
• Knowledge of wood types, stains, varnishes, paints, and finishing materials.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (23 kg).
• Ability to stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Comfortable working in a dusty environment with exposure to varying temperatures and strong odours.

Responsibilities

• Apply paint and other finishes to cabinets and components using a spray gun, following established techniques and processes to match provided colour samples.
• Meet quality, productivity, and scheduling standards safely and efficiently.
• Ensure cabinets, materials, and components are complete, compliant, and finished on time.
• Identify and report defects or inconsistencies in materials, components, or finishes.

In this role, you will use spray guns and related tools and equipment to apply paint, stain, and other finishes to cabinetry and cabinet components. As part of our production team, you will help ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality, appearance, and durability.

• Apply paint and other finishes to cabinets and components using a spray gun, following established techniques and processes to match provided colour samples.
• Meet quality, productivity, and scheduling standards safely and efficiently.
• Ensure cabinets, materials, and components are complete, compliant, and finished on time.
• Identify and report defects or inconsistencies in materials, components, or finishes.
• Represent, support, and uphold the company’s Core Values and Management Philosophy.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Hourly wage starting at $23.36/hour
• Evening shift premium: $2.00/hour
• 40 hours per week
• Evening schedule: Monday to Thursday, 3:45 p.m. to 1:45 a.m.
