Job summary

SD Furniture & Kitchen Cabinets Inc. is seeking a skilled cabinetmaker to work on-site in Canada. The role involves operating woodworking machinery, reading plans, and assembling components into complete units, with finishing tasks including sanding, veneering, staining and polishing.

Experience in furniture fabrication and related products is preferred. The position requires 1–2 years of experience, English proficiency, and the ability to work at a fixed workshop location with no remote option.

Qualifications

• Operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers and shapers, to cut, shape and form parts and components.
• Study plans, specifications or drawings of articles to be made.
• Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit and reinforce joints.
• Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finished products; prepare and apply laminated plastics.
• Apply varnish, veneer, stain or polish to finished products.
• Repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures and related products.
