Job summary

The Canadian Brewhouse is seeking a skilled Cabinet Maker for our Edmonton shop. You will read blueprints, set up standard woodworking machinery, assemble cabinet components, and ensure quality finishes for custom and standard millwork. This role requires focus on safety, accuracy, and efficient production in a fast-growing hospitality environment.

Work hours are 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with opportunities for growth within our production and retail network across Canada.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship is a strong plus and formal training is valued.
• Knowledge of wood properties, composites and veneers essential.
• Experience with hand tools, machinery, and CNC is desirable.
• Excellent math aptitude and precise dimensional control required.
• OSHA safety regulations must be followed in a shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine materials and requirements.
• Set up and operate woodworking machinery (table saws, band saws, routers, planers) safely.
• Assemble cabinet components using joinery, adhesives and hardware.
• Perform quality inspections for accuracy and finish before dispatch.

Cabinet Maker

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cabinet Maker to construct, assemble, and finish high-quality custom cabinetry and woodwork. You will serve a vital role in our production department, building everything from standard cabinets to complex, custom-designed restaurant millwork. Furthermore, we need an individual who will always live by our Core Values and lead every interaction with our company purpose: "Be The Place People Want To Be".

What do you bring?

You bring proven experience as a Cabinet Maker, Woodworker, or Carpenter, along with a comprehensive knowledge of wood properties, composite materials, and veneers. Completion of a formal apprenticeship program is a strong plus. You possess mastery of both hand tools and stationary power tools, with CNC programming and operating experience being highly desirable. With your strong mathematical aptitude and meticulous attention to detail, you excel at calculating dimensions and ensuring precise cuts. You are physically capable of standing for 8–10 hours a day, regularly lifting and maneuvering heavy materials up to 50–75 lbs, and working safely in a shop environment while adhering strictly to OSHA regulations and safety protocols.

What will you be doing?

In this role, you will read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine materials and project requirements. Your daily tasks will include safely setting up and operating standard woodworking machinery—such as table saws, band saws, routers, and planers—to measure, cut, and shape wood materials. You will assemble cabinet components using various joining techniques, secure them with adhesives and fasteners, and install functional or decorative hardware. You will also conduct rigorous quality control inspections to ensure structural integrity, accurate dimensions, and a flawless appearance before any product leaves the shop floor. Your standard work hours will be 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, unless otherwise determined by the needs of the Business.

This role is based at our Shop location (13040 148 St NW, Edmonton).
