Job summary

Shriners Hospitals for Children - Canada is seeking a detail-oriented Buyer to manage all or part of the organization’s purchasing activities in a temporary role based in Montreal. You will review requisitions, source suppliers, issue RFPs, analyze bids and place orders while ensuring accurate delivery documentation.

• Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written.

Job Summary:

Person responsible for managing all or part of the purchasing activities required by the organization. The buyer receives and reviews purchase requisitions and identifies potential sources of supply. They prepare requests for proposals (RFPs) or tenders, analyze bids, and determine the most advantageous offers. They place orders for goods and supplies and verify delivery documentation. The buyer meets with suppliers and maintains up-to-date pricing lists and product catalogs.

Required Qualifications:

Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and procurement software.

Familiarity with SEAO, CAG, Workday, Edilex, Lean/Kanban principles, and continuous improvement practices is an asset.
