Join our team as a Buyer I at Prime Healthcare .

Overview

We are a dedicated team providing services and operational support to award-winning hospitals in roles such as supply chain, IT, cybersecurity, clinical engineering, capital procurement, medical coding, and project management. Our services support clinically excellent community hospitals nationwide, committed to delivering quality, compassionate care to every patient, every time.

Responsibilities

  • Purchase equipment, supplies, and services using computerized systems.
  • Manage inventory to minimize stock and non-stock orders.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding requirements, discrepancies, pricing, and backorders.
  • Process purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documents for Accounts Payable.
  • Meet with user departments to determine purchase requirements.
  • Develop and maintain sources of supply, select suppliers, negotiate prices, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Prepare tender documents using Microsoft Office.
  • Contribute to policy and procedure development, dispose of obsolete equipment, and maintain purchasing records.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience as a Buyer preferred.
  • Knowledge of equipment and supplies acquisition, policies, and procedures.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Strong planning, organization, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, negotiating, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office.

We offer competitive compensation, including wages, benefits, and other incentives. The salary range for this role is estimated at $22.50 to $30.28 per hour, with exact compensation determined at hiring based on various factors.
