We are currently looking for:

Buyer

Under the supervision of the Director of Supply Chain and working closely with the production team, the buyer is responsible for coordinating procurement activities related to production needs. They provide operations support and work daily with the engineering team. The buyer manages inventory of electronic components, materials, and tracks inventory. They perform planning and qualification functions for sources of supply and negotiate agreements on the purchase of computer equipment and licenses. The buyer ensures the organization receives top-quality components respecting cost and delivery deadlines.

Responsibilities Summary:

  • Queries, issues, and tracks purchase orders.
  • Maintain and optimize the MRP provisioning system settings in MISys.
  • Control inventory levels of materials and production supplies.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure delivery dates are met.
  • Participate in negotiations and compliance of annual agreements with suppliers.
  • Assist planning, quality, engineering, payables, and other teams in resolving vendor issues.
  • Seek opportunities for cost reduction and inventory control.
  • Participate in projects aimed at improving supply chain processes.
  • Make all purchases or rentals of computer electronic equipment, software licenses, hardware, furniture, and office supplies, and track orders until receipt.
  • Perform any other related tasks.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • DEC in administration, logistics, supply chain management, or equivalent training and experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Experience purchasing electronic components and equipment.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems.
  • Strong teamwork skills and work rigor.
  • Ability to interact easily with employees across departments.
  • Versatile, autonomous, with good judgment, organized, detail-oriented.
  • Leadership qualities and ability to manage priorities.
  • Bilingual in French and English, both spoken and written, to communicate effectively with suppliers.
  • Experience in high-tech or telecommunications companies is an asset.
  • Knowledge of MISys or similar computerized management systems is an asset.
