What You’ll Be Contributing:

• Assist the Product Managers and Sales associates with product research and pricing support;
• Check requisitions for completeness and clarity and obtain necessary missing information where required;
• Prepare purchase orders or other agreements as necessary and check them for accuracy and completeness before issuing;
• Review daily shortage report to ensure parts are purchased on time;
• Consolidate and maintain purchasing price lists;
• Provide regular inventory updates;
• Create/modify purchase orders as needed;
• Obtain and analyze bids in accordance with established policies and procedures;
• Follow-up or expedite orders as necessary to meet schedules;
• Keep the Purchasing Manager informed of all activities or problems and submit reports as requested by management;
• Work with multiple vendors, evaluate the pros and cons of each to determine the best solution for the company based on price, quality, speed of delivery and other factors;
• Negotiate with suppliers.
  
  

What Sets You Apart:

• High School diploma required, DEC or AEC an asset;
• Min 3 years of experience in a similar role, in technology an asset;
• Proven success in previous roles based on strong analytical, decision-making and negotiation skills;
• Proficiency using various computer and software to generate reports and communication, i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet, Databases, etc.
