Job summary

Concord Hospitality Brand is seeking a customer service-focused Restaurant Busser / Food Runner to support servers and ensure a clean, inviting dining area at our Calgary downtown properties. You will clear and reset tables, stock stations, greet guests, handle beverages, and assist with general cleaning while maintaining safety standards.

Availability for evenings, weekends and holidays is required; a positive attitude and teamwork are essential.

Responsibilities

• Consistently deliver exceptional service to guests and fellow associates.
• Quickly clean dirty table settings and prepare tables for resetting with spotless service ware.
• Maintain stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods with necessary equipment.
• Greet guests in a pleasant and courteous manner and serve beverages, breads and butter to begin dining.
• Transport dirty tableware from dining area to dishwashing area for proper cleaning.
• Perform general cleaning tasks using hotel cleaning products as assigned to adhere to health standards.
• Fold napkins for all meal periods and restock condiments as needed.
• Perform other duties as requested to ensure total guest satisfaction and teamwork.

OUR ROLE

We are in search of a customer service-focused, professional Busser / Food Runner responsible for providing a clean and pleasant dining experience by clearing, sanitizing or resetting tables and ensuring that the restaurant is well stocked with necessary items such as silverware, plates, napkins, and cups of water glasses, while assisting servers with various food service duties.

Key accountabilities include:

• Consistently deliver exceptional service to guests and fellow associates.
• Quickly clean dirty table settings and prepare table for resetting. Promptly and consistently reset tables with spotless service ware.
• Maintain stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods with necessary equipment including silverware, linen and condiments.
• Greet guests in a pleasant and courteous manner, serve beverages, breads and butter to begin their dining experience and replenish as necessary.
• Transport all dirty tableware from dining room to dishwashing area for proper cleaning.
• Perform general cleaning tasks, using standard hotel cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards.
• Fold napkins for all meal periods throughout the day to maintain an adequate supply, restocking condiments, etc.
• Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills, tending to guest special requests and cross-training, to ensure total guest satisfaction.
• Endeavor to work in a unified and collaborative way -- one that fosters teamwork.
• Follow all safety and security policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions.
