The position will focus on the following key areas of responsibility:
- Technology Delivery & Operations: Deliver and maintain complex systems, provide specialist advice, and support operations
- Problem Solving & Analysis: Act as a specialized resource, design complex solutions, and provide application support
- Testing & Support: Respond to application or infrastructure issues, perform diagnostics, and conduct hands-on testing including security configurations
- Maintenance, Planning & Configurations: Maintain awareness of technological developments, research available modules, and create documentation
- Vendor Management: Maintain awareness of vendor-related issues, set clear expectations, and stay informed about application and component roadmaps
- Continuous Learning/Mentorship: Develop a training plan and provide mentorship to less senior staff
What will you do?
- Provide technical expertise to support the business
- Design, develop, and implement technology solutions
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to PeopleSoft and other applications
- Provide training and support to end users
- Other related duties as required
Qualifications- Bachelors degree in a related field and at least 4 years of experience in an IT analytical role or equivalent including demonstrated ability to lead initiatives of all sizes and complexities. Formal certification in the area of expertise is desirableOR Post secondary diploma and at least 5 years experience in an IT Analytical role or equivalent including demonstrated ability to lead initiatives of all sizes and complexitiesOR Certificate in a related discipline and 7 years of relevant experience in an Information Technology environment including demonstrated ability to lead small to mid-size initiatives
- Proficient knowledge of PSQuery, PeopleTools PeopleCode, SQR, XML, SQL
- PeopleSoft Application support and business process design experience
Assets:
- SAP Support or implementation certifications
- Experience providing 24x7 on-call support to a mission-critical application or system
- Other technology-specific certifications and diplomas related to the work
- Technical experience in a computing environment in a complex and highly diverse data, application and technology environments or a hybrid environment of cloud and on-premise data, applications, and technologies
