- Experience in the insurance sector, particularly the Life Insurance or Group Benefits market, with a proven background identifying the future needs of the business to reduce complexity working with customers across all parts of the business from product design to new business and claims.
- A team player who will take the initiative and own solution design.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the GM, North America Sales, the Business Solutions Consultant will work closely with the Sales Lead, Product Marketing, and EIS Engineering teams to leverage industry knowledge to create crafted demos, with a continued focus on demonstrating EIS business value.
The role will oversee the most important client engagements to bring the company and our offering to life. We’re looking for you to be passionate about our clients, manage the messaging, the story, and ensure customers understand the EIS capability to support their ambitions.
In this role, you’ll get a seat at the table to drive our brand and market differentiators to the largest insurance companies in the Benefits and Life & Annuities domains. You will be an active member of the client engagement team, understanding the client needs and delivering compelling solutions throughout the sales cycle and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
Be a key member of the EIS North American Sales team able to:
- Demonstrate EIS’s ability to create business value across the Group Benefits and Life & Annuities insurer value chain using our market-leading digital platform.
- Demonstrate expertise in our enterprise solution from Product design, Quote to sale, Policy Administration and Underwriting, Billing, Claims Management, and Customer Engagement Modules.
- Discover customer needs and requirements, determine customer problem areas, and articulate recommended solution(s) or product(s).
- Work with the team, lead and participate in client meetings and workshops.
- Deliver solution collateral, presentations, and technical product overviews.
- Interact, collaborate, and listen to customers throughout the selling process to ensure their needs are properly understood and being addressed.
- Create and deliver product demonstrations, including product overviews, detailed demonstrations, and client-driven proof-of-concept projects.
- Coordinate customer meetings and presentations in cooperation with other members of the sales team or related support functions.
- Collect and document prospective customer requirements based on interactions with clients and work internally with Product and Engineering groups to create and refine the client presentations.
- Support the EIS customer success team to enable clients to continually optimize.
- Manage RFI/RFP responses and work with sales, services, marketing, engineering, product, and finance teams to ensure on-time completion and delivery to clients.
- Support marketing initiatives through trade show activities and marketing material development.
- Work with the EIS partner network to support joint initiatives and client engagement.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- 4 years of Insurance Software, SaaS, or related experience with demonstrated experience in Group Benefits and Life & Annuities Business or Software Operations experience.
- Previous experience in presales activities such as leading product demonstrations.
- Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders – from technical resources to C-level executive management personnel.
- Demonstrate a strong sense of urgency, is creative, disciplined, passionate, and an out-of-the-box thinker.
- Relationship building, leadership, and presentation skills are a must.
- Ability to establish mutual expectations with customers.
- Ability to communicate technical and business information to a widely varied audience.
- Project Management, coordination, organization, team building, and communication abilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills as demonstrated through presentation development and delivery experience.
- Demonstrated ability to produce results working independently and as a member of a team.
- Developed problem-solving skills as demonstrated by examples of creative and forward-thinking solutions to business issues.
- Travel 20%-30% supporting strategic sales and product needs.
