What you’ll be doing

As Business Management Consultant, Private Banking, you will lead the execution of strategic and operational business management activities for CIBC’s national Private Banking team. Reporting to the Director, Business Management, Private Banking, you will act as a key partner to the leadership team by driving business initiatives, coordinating cross-functional change, improving processes, and supporting strong business performance, employee experience, and client outcomes. This role is national in scope and requires strong business judgment, relationship management, analytical capability, and execution excellence in a fast-paced environment.

How you’ll succeed

• Drive strategic execution- Lead business management initiatives aligned to national Private Banking priorities and support the strategic objectives of senior leadership through strong planning, coordination, and delivery.


• Improve business effectiveness- Identify opportunities to simplify workflows, improve consistency, increase frontline capacity, and enhance operational effectiveness, employee experience, and client outcomes.


• Lead cross-functional collaboration- Partner with teams across Technology, Product, Business Risk, Training, Process Optimization, Business Effectiveness, Legal, and Compliance to advance key priorities and support successful change execution.


• Provide insight and reporting- Prepare dashboards, presentations, updates, and analysis to support leadership decision-making, track progress, and communicate outcomes effectively.


• Strengthen controls and continuous improvement- Assess business issues, recommend practical solutions, lead remediation activities, and help ensure alignment with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and CIBC’s risk appetite.
