Background

Our client is seeking a skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to drive data foundation for years to come.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Review background material to understand the work purpose, objectives, documented requirements, and/or User Stories.
• Work closely with the project team to perform data analysis of enterprise data and provide expertise and advice on Data Management and Business Intelligence practices.
• Perform detailed analyses of business areas to identify, understand, model, and define data, business data flows, and processes in collaboration with stakeholders. Identify data anomalies, patterns, overlaps, and duplications, and recommend improvements based on best practices.
• Collaborate proactively with the Development Team and communicate with stakeholders to ensure project efficiency.
• Participate in identifying and mitigating project risks.
• Attend daily standup meetings.
• Contribute to other related project tasks as assigned by the Team Lead or manager.
• Build reports and dashboards.
• Document recommendations for enhancements to workflows, data pipelines, and reporting mechanisms.

Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience as a DW/BI developer, database designer/engineer, or equivalent.
• Experience in enterprise environments.
• Exposure to Azure platform and OneLake/DataLake storage architecture.
• Experience creating reports and dashboards using Power BI or Tableau (mandatory).
• Experience with Microsoft databases (mandatory).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel.
• Knowledge of Agile project tracking tools is an asset.
