Job Details
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide project management for BI solutions for new customer implementations.
- Work with the development team and IT group to design reporting analysis tools for internal and external use.
- Gather comprehensive requirements from external and internal customers and document them formally.
- Collaborate with the technical team to establish protocols for data extraction from various sources.
- Develop solutions for clients in formats such as Excel, Crystal Reports, Business Objects Enterprise, Power BI.
- Analyze large datasets to generate targeted reports for clients.
- Train end users on analytical tools developed by the Business Intelligence team.
- Write functional and technical documentation.
- Perform other duties as required, including possible local travel in the Greater Toronto Area (5%).
Experience and Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in Business Analytics roles.
- Proficiency with MS Office, SQL, Business Objects, Crystal Reports.
- Strong understanding of databases, SQL, and scripting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of database design, modeling, and ETL processes.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical or wholesale distribution industry is a plus.
- IT project management experience is an asset.
- Ability to interpret data models and database structures.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to gather and analyze report requirements effectively.
- Team-oriented with good collaboration skills.
- Additional industry certifications are advantageous.
