Job summary

Maarut Inc. in Montreal seeks a business/functional analyst to lead BI analytics projects end to end on the requirements side. You will run workshops with stakeholders, write functional specifications for BI developers, and verify delivered reports against acceptance criteria.

You will validate data sources, understand data modeling and ETL, and collaborate with IT, product owners, architects, and business experts. French communication is mandatory.

Qualifications

A business or functional analyst who has already led BI or analytics projects end to end on the requirements side. In practice: workshops run with stakeholders, specifications written for Power BI or equivalent developers, and acceptance testing performed on delivered reports. Their understanding of data modeling and ETL allows them to validate where the data comes from and to work directly with technical teams.

Key Requirements:

Required:

• Business and/or functional analysis experience in a BI or analytics context
• Running working sessions with business stakeholders
• Writing functional specifications for BI development teams
• Understanding of data modeling, ETL and analytics environments
• Hands-on knowledge of Power BI or other data visualization tools
• Multidisciplinary collaboration (IT, PO, architects, developers, business experts)
• Effective oral and written communication in French

Asset:

• Proficiency in JIRA (task management and agile tracking) and YOGI (requirements management)
• Knowledge of agile or hybrid development environments

French-speaking proficiency is mandatory for this role.
