Victaulic is seeking a Business Development Representative to join our GTA team, reporting to the Engineering Solutions Manager. The role focuses on engineering coverage and building relationships within the Toronto construction and engineering market.

You will leverage your technical background to promote innovative piping solutions, write design specifications, and drive growth with engineers and owners across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or business related to construction.
• Experience in construction and engineering markets, especially Toronto.
• Proven sales success including account management and complex sales.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify and cultivate new business opportunities with engineers and decision-makers.
• Drive adoption of product solutions focusing on technical specs and engineering requirements.
• Operate in an autonomous leadership role within a high-performing team.

We're looking for a Business Development Representative to join our team in the GTA. Reporting to the Engineering Solutions Manager, you'll play a crucial role in driving growth and promoting our innovative product solutions.

This position is heavily focused on engineering coverage , with an emphasis on candidates who have experience and established relationships within the Toronto construction and engineering market.

WHAT YOU'LL BUILD & OWN

• Proactively identify and cultivate new business opportunities by building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, particularly engineers and decision-makers.
• Leverage your knowledge of the Toronto market to drive adoption of our product solutions, focusing on technical specifications and engineering requirements.
• Operate effectively in an autonomous leadership role while contributing to a dynamic, high-performing team.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance product awareness and highlight the breadth of our technical solutions.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of our product's technical scope, market applications, and services.
• Use strong engineering skills to write and develop design specifications, supporting clear communication with technical audiences.
• Establish and sustain close contact with stakeholders to influence, convert, and uphold engineering standards that align with our product offerings.
• Conduct small group councils with top-tier owners, engineers, and product executives to support business development initiatives.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or BCom.
• Extensive experience within the construction and engineering fields, particularly in the Toronto market.
• Proven track record in sales, including account management, achieving targets, and successfully navigating complex sales at the owner and engineering levels.
• Exceptional engineering skills with the ability to develop and present detailed design specifications.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
• Professional demeanor with a focus on building long‑term relationships.
• Willingness to travel as required to engage with clients and stakeholders.
