Job summary

RPIA Capital Management is seeking a full-time Business Development Manager to expand our Advisor footprint in Quebec. You will promote mutual funds, liquid alternatives, and hedge funds, and build strong advisor relationships through proactive outreach and strategic insights.

You will drive sales with a needs-based approach, maintain precise CRM records, and collaborate with portfolio managers to align solutions with client goals. Fluency in French and English is required.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Business, Finance, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of sales experience in financial services or related industry.
  • Completion or progress towards CSC, IFIC, or CFP is preferred.
  • Experience organizing, prioritizing, and executing sales plans.
  • Extensive experience with a CRM.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales and promote investment solutions to Advisors in Quebec.
  • Identify new business opportunities and manage advisor relationships.
  • Maintain CRM documentation with clear, detailed notes.
  • Develop territory and pipeline management to grow the advisor network.

Job description

We are currently seeking a full-time permanent Business Development Manager eager to join our Client & Product Solutions team, to cover Advisors in the province of Quebec.

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales and promoting our full suite of investment solutions to Advisors in Quebec. With strong knowledge of Mutual Funds, Liquid Alternatives, and Hedge Funds, you will identify new business opportunities and support advisor relationships. Reporting to the Director of Retail Distribution, you will be part of a high-performing sales team and collaborate closely with portfolio managers and business strategists.

The duties and responsibilities of the Business Development Manager include but are not limited to:

  • Strategic Input: Contributes to sales and client strategy development by sharing insights and best practices.
  • Territory Development: Supports business planning and identifies growth opportunities within the assigned region.
  • Solution Positioning: Applies a needs-based approach to align investment products with advisor portfolio goals.
  • Prospecting: Identifies and cultivates new advisor relationships through proactive outreach and lead generation.
  • Relationship Management: Builds and maintains strong connections with advisors through regular touchpoints and occasional travel.
  • Client Service: Delivers prompt, professional support to existing clients and manages follow-up activities.
  • Product Expertise: Maintains deep knowledge of alternative investment solutions, including hedge funds and liquid alternatives.
  • CRM Documentation: Captures all client and prospect interactions in CRM with clear, detailed notes.
  • Pipeline Management: Tracks lead activity and progression through the sales funnel with accuracy.
  • Efficiency Optimization: Leverages CRM capabilities to maximize productivity and drive

  • Communication – Communicates clearly and eloquently both verbally and in writing and displays exceptional interpersonal skills when working with clients as well as team

Requirements
  • Degree in Business, Finance, or a related
  • Minimum of two (2) to five (5) years of sales experience in the financial services, investment, or related industry, ideally with knowledge of advisor practice management.
  • Completion or progress towards industry-related courses such as CSC, IFIC, or CFP is
  • Proven experience with organizing, prioritizing, and executing individual and team sales plans and activities.
  • Extensive experience working with a CRM
  • Fluency in both French and English, written and spoken, is required.
