Job Summary

The Business Development Manager – Key Accounts will work under the supervision of the Business Development Director – National Brand. The role involves managing the Sobeys Quebec account and developing business with regional Quebec clients, including discount stores (Dollarama), pharmacies, grocery stores, and convenience stores.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement business plans for assigned clients, executing strategies, managing expenses, and achieving growth objectives.
  • Identify new business opportunities with existing clients by analyzing their needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through quality service and presentations.
  • Coordinate with various departments to provide promotional information for demand planning.
  • Manage external communications with major accounts in Quebec.
  • Support sales teams by sharing information from key accounts, including promotions and new products.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to account management.
  • Assist the sales management team as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
  • University degree in business administration or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in account management, preferably in the CPG or agri-food industry.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and sales information tools (Sobeys Portal, Circana, Nielsen IQ).
  • Strong organizational, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Understanding of P&L factors, with strong planning, analytical, and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Autonomous with innovative thinking to identify new opportunities.
  • Capable of managing change effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Bilingual in French and English, both written and spoken.
