About the role:

Financeit is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new acquisition sales within the Home Improvement sector across Canada. The role involves building and nurturing relationships with associations, OEMs, and service providers to launch new dealer networks.

The ideal candidate excels at networking, establishing relationships, and has a data-driven approach. Responsibilities include presenting the product to large audiences, conducting training sessions, and developing a thorough understanding of the Financeit product suite.

The Business Development Manager will dedicate up to 50% of their efforts in the field, working across Canada to generate opportunities alongside the existing sales team and engaging directly with merchants.

What you'll do:
  • Identify and pursue new enterprise partnership opportunities within the home improvement sector (HVAC, Windows, Doors, etc.)
  • Develop a deep understanding of Financeit programs and market position
  • Provide market insights, including competitive trends and partner needs
  • Prepare, negotiate, and execute partnership contracts
  • Maintain the sales pipeline using Salesforce to forecast and track opportunities
  • Position Financeit as a market leader in POS financing with tailored proposals
  • Prospect large accounts via cold calling, meetings, and networking
  • Cultivate relationships with enterprise partners and stakeholders
  • Develop strategic business plans with leadership
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and production teams on business strategies
  • Analyze data to support value propositions and insights
  • Sell multiple business lines and deepen integrations within enterprise groups
  • Ensure compliance with approval and risk requirements
Requirements:
  • 5+ years in business development and face-to-face sales
  • Proven success in closing large deals with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Experience with legal procurement and contracts is a plus
  • Comfortable with cold calling and building a sales pipeline
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities under pressure
  • Experience managing B2B relationships
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, especially Salesforce
  • Strong analytical skills for lead assessment and data management
  • Willing to travel 50% across Canada and the US for industry events and meetings
