Job summary

Manulife is seeking a Business Development Manager to promote a full range of Wealth Management solutions to Advisors, providing proactive sales and business-building ideas. You will work with an External Wholesaler and Territory Coordinator to drive growth in a defined region.

A strong track record in sales, negotiation, and relationship management, plus knowledge of mutual funds, ETFs, and SMAs, is essential. A related degree and industry courses such as CSC, IFIC, CFP are preferred.

Qualifications

  • College or University degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Previous sales experience in the financial services industry is advised.
  • Knowledge of Wealth Management products (mutual funds, ETFs, SMAs) and an understanding of global financial markets.
  • Industry courses such as CSC, IFIC, CFP (or working towards) are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Promote wealth management solutions to Advisors and provide access to Portfolio Managers and Strategists.
  • Drive sales growth and maintain relationships within a defined region.

As a Business Development Manager (BDM), you will be responsible for promoting a full range of Wealth Management solutions to Advisors and industry-leading access to Portfolio Managers and Strategists, providing proactive sales and business building ideas. With a proven understanding of the Advisors’ business, you will be at the forefront of aligning their needs with our innovative technology, product and service solutions. As an active participant in a dynamic team consisting of an External Wholesaler and Territory Coordinator, your main objective will be to drive sales growth and effectively maintain relationships within a specified region. Exceptional knowledge of wealth products, such as Mutual Funds, OM and Alternative Funds, ETFs and Separately Managed Accounts, will be beneficial as you grow your career at Manulife. This role is hybrid with 4 days in the office.

Preferred Qualifications

Referenced Salary

Location: Toronto, Ontario

Working Arrangement: Hybrid

Salary range is expected to be between $100,000.00 CAD - $140,000.00 CAD. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
