The Role

We’re looking for a driven, personable business development professional to grow our referral network and become the face of our brand in the Guelph metro region. You’ll focus on building lasting relationships with real estate professionals, property managers and tradespeople – the key circles of influence in our business. Additionally, you will close and serve leads that come in from the corporate office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and build relationships with potential referral partners including:
  • Real estate agents and brokers
  • Property management companies
  • Plumbers, HVAC techs, and other home service professionals
  • Attend networking events, industry meetups, and community functions
  • Educate referral partners on our services and how we can support their clients
  • Develop and manage a regular outreach and follow-up cadence
  • Collaborate with our operations team to ensure a seamless customer experience
  • Track outreach efforts and report on referral performance
  • Close and serve leads coming in from the corporate office

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong people skills – personable, empathetic, and trustworthy
  • Self-starter with a hunter mentality and a drive to win
  • Previous sales or business development experience (ideally in trades, home services, or real estate)
  • Comfortable visiting job sites and meeting people face-to-face
  • Organized and consistent in follow-ups
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable car, clean driving extract
  • Great to have: existing relationships with realtors, property managers, and tradespeople.
  • Ideally based in or close to Guelph metropolitan area

Compensation:

  • 7.5% commission on generated leads.
  • 2.5% commission on closing incoming leads from corporate.
  • $1000 per week base salary for first six months (commission-only after that).
