iA Financial Group (Industrial Alliance) is seeking a Business Data Steward to own strategy and end-to-end management of the business data model within a wealth management context. The role emphasizes governance, quality, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure compliant, well-defined data usage.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in wealth management or data management with 5+ years in wealth management data, plus strong communication and stakeholder leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead data governance and stewardship across the wealth management business, establishing standards for data definition, management and use.
• Own data quality and integrity, including metadata, business glossaries, data lineage, classification, retention and critical data elements.
• Partner across business, technology, compliance and operations to identify data issues, improve processes, and ensure consistent data practices.
• Support regulatory, privacy and risk requirements by ensuring business data is properly governed and meets Canadian wealth management standards.

What You’ll Accomplish With Us

• Lead data governance and stewardship across the wealth management business, helping establish standards for how data is defined, managed, and used.
• Own data quality and integrity, including metadata, business glossaries, data lineage, classification, retention, and critical data elements.
• Partner across business, technology, compliance, and operations to identify data issues, improve processes, and ensure consistent data practices.
• Support regulatory, privacy, and risk requirements by ensuring business data is properly governed and meets Canadian wealth management standards.
• Ideal candidate: 10+ years in wealth management and/or data management, including 5+ years working with wealth management data, with strong communication and stakeholder leadership skills. French/English bilingualism is an asset.

The typical hiring range for this position is between $110,000 and $130,000 CAD per year; the base salary offered may vary depending on knowledge, skills, years of experience, and internal equity related to the role. At iA, we are committed to offering a fair, equitable, and market-based compensation structure. Our market data is updated annually to reflect the most current market conditions.
