Job summary

Moneris Solutions is seeking a Business Data Analyst to join our analytics team in Etobicoke. You will build and maintain reports, dashboards, and analytics outputs to support product performance, onboarding, operations, and leadership decisions.

You will extract and analyze data from multiple systems using SQL, Excel, and BI tools, translating business questions into actionable insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders. Hybrid work arrangements are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a Data Analyst, Reporting Analyst, Business Analyst, Product Analyst, Operations Analyst, or similar role.
• Experience building and maintaining reports, dashboards, or recurring business performance reporting.
• Experience partnering with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver data-driven insights.
• Strong SQL skills, including joins, aggregations, common table expressions, data validation, and analysis of large datasets.
• Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, lookups, data preparation, and structured analysis.
• Experience with BI and data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and enhance recurring reports, dashboards, scorecards, and analytical outputs used by business and leadership teams.
• Analyze trends across product performance, customer onboarding, operational service levels, revenue, customer experience, sales channels, and business process efficiency.
• Extract, validate, and analyze data from multiple systems using SQL, Excel, BI tools, and other analytics platforms.
• Translate business questions into clear analysis, insights, and recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Support recurring reporting cycles, leadership updates, performance reviews, and ad hoc analytical requests.
• Partner with stakeholders to define reporting requirements, establish metric definitions, validate assumptions, and ensure reporting accuracy.
• Identify data quality issues, reporting gaps, process inefficiencies, and opportunities to automate and improve reporting processes.
• Maintain documentation for key reports, dashboards, data sources, metrics, assumptions, and business rules.
• Contribute to analytics modernization initiatives, including dashboard enhancements, reporting automation, data model improvements, and migration to modern data platforms.
