About the role
We’re looking for a Business Continuity Management Advisor to join our team!
The Business Continuity Management team is responsible for supporting the business in developing and testing the business continuity programs that ensures Intact critical business units are adequately prepared to react to any major business disruption. The team also supports the Crisis Management Committees during incidents.
This opportunity will be based out of any of our main national office locations and will require the successful candidate to attend in office 2 days a week as part of our hybrid work model.
What you’ll do here:
Providing support to the Business Resilience and Physical Security Manager in the management and implementation of an effective Business Continuity Program and for developing preparedness to respond effectively to the organization's risk exposure to internal and external threats.
Provide ongoing governance (accountability, transparency, prioritization, allocation) for the management of business resiliency activities.
Ongoing risk resiliency and effectiveness monitoring - conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of risk, risk data, risk mitigation opportunities and execution strategies in the development of Business Impact Analysis and Business Continuity plans.
Supporting the business in developing and testing the business continuity programs that ensures Intact’s critical business units are adequately prepared to react to any major business disruption.
Resiliency management software support - Champion the suite of tools used to promote effective resiliency risk identification / management and response processes. Contribute to the development, implementation, and effective use of online tools for risk and resiliency management.
Coordinate resiliency program effectiveness testing including test design, planning, execution and evaluation of business continuity programs. Ensure Intact’s critical business units are adequately prepared to react to any major business disruption through tabletop test scenario exercises, analysis, tracking participation and results
Coordinate with business units in the development of exit and contingency plans relating to third-party risk management.
What you bring to the table:
3 to 5 years of relevant experience in business continuity or in a field of insurance or financial industry.
Certification in Business Continuity or related designations (considered an asset)
Excellent communication skills, strong collaborator and comfortable engaging in discussions with stakeholders at all levels, capacity to share point of view in a diplomatic way.
Ability to adapt and support a variety of business units and teams during critical times.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced knowledge of Excel.
Bilingual in French and English (considered an asset)
For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
No Canadian work experience required but must have authorization to work in Canada.
