Purpose of the Role:
As a Business Central ERP Application Analyst, you will support and optimize the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) platform in a manufacturing setting. Your focus will be on the Jobs Projects module and related workflows to ensure efficient production, costing, procurement, and delivery.
You will act as a liaison between business users and technical teams, providing ongoing support, system enhancements, and training to ensure the ERP platform meets evolving operational needs. Your hands-on experience with Business Central in manufacturing contexts, along with your strong analytical and communication skills, will be crucial for success.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- You bring 3 to 5 years of experience supporting Microsoft Business Central, particularly the Projects and manufacturing-related features.
- You possess a strong understanding of order-to-deliver processes, job costing, inventory management, procurement, and financial tracking in manufacturing.
- You are familiar with Microsoft technologies, including Power Platform, Azure AD, and Office 365.
- You have a proven ability to analyze business processes and configure ERP solutions to meet functional requirements.
- Your excellent written and verbal communication skills enable you to work cross-functionally across operations, finance, and IT teams.
- You demonstrate strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving capabilities.
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines.
What Success looks like in this role:
- ERP System Support: You will provide first-line support for end users, focusing on the Jobs Projects module, production orders, purchasing, and delivery processes. You will troubleshoot issues, resolve technical challenges, and guide users on system functionality.
- Manufacturing Workflow Optimization: You will collaborate with Production, Procurement, and Logistics teams to configure and streamline manufacturing processes within Business Central, including order tracking, job costing, inventory control, and delivery scheduling.
- Process Improvement: You will identify and implement opportunities to improve ERP-supported workflows, reduce manual workarounds, and enhance process efficiency across the production lifecycle.
- Configuration and Change Management: You will configure system settings, user roles, and workflows. You will assist with release management, testing, and validation of new features or system upgrades.
- Training and Documentation: You will develop training materials and deliver user education sessions tailored to different departments. You will maintain clear and up-to-date ERP documentation and process maps.
- Vendor and Consultant Coordination: You will act as a liaison with Microsoft partners and external consultants to resolve escalated issues, implement new modules, or address system changes.
