Job Title: Manager, Field Nursing Operations
Manage a remote team of Field Nurses within an assigned geographical territory to ensure operational excellence and high-quality patient care.
- Achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for clinic and nursing operations, including budget and expense controls.
- Monitor demand for clinic and nursing services to ensure resource availability and meet customer and patient needs.
- Maintain high standards through audits of clinics and nursing practices, including protocols and on-site visits.
- Identify and establish new clinic sites to support clinic growth opportunities.
- Review reports related to staff training and ensure nurse compliance.
- Manage staffing availability to meet operational needs within the Integrated Business Unit (IBU).
- Collaborate with Scheduling Associates to ensure efficient appointment scheduling aligned with KPIs.
- Provide emergency coverage and support for clinical questions as needed in coordination with the regional team.
- Implement and communicate all program and departmental policies at the IBU level.
- Report adverse events, serious adverse events, and product complaints per company policies.
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with patients, manufacturers, and other stakeholders within the territory.
- Oversee onboarding, orientation, and ongoing performance management of staff, including training planning and HRIS maintenance.
- Conduct quarterly reviews of nursing staff to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Implement process improvements to enhance utilization and efficiency.
- Ensure program requirements and documentation are met, maintaining standards of practice as per provincial nursing colleges and associations.
- Travel within the territory for clinic visits, audits, and management meetings.
- Prepare and present Quarterly Business Reviews.
- Coordinate clinic visits and participate in teleconferences for team collaboration.
- Provide specialized infusion and injection therapies in outpatient or homecare settings as needed.
- Strengthen relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and other partners.
- Coordinate training for new nurses on policies, clinical skills, and administrative tasks.
- Support nurses with concerns related to payroll, scheduling, and clinical issues.
- Review nurse timesheets and expenses for accuracy.
- Complete incident reports and corrective action plans.
- Ensure continuous quality improvement and compliance with audit standards.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Experience and Educational Requirements:
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare or business operations.
- Registered Nurse (RN) certification and registration with the provincial College of Nurses.
- BScN or equivalent, or working towards this degree.
- CVAA certification is an asset.
- BCLS / CPR certification; ACLS as required.
- 5-7 years of nursing experience.
- 2-5 years of management or remote team leadership experience.
- Experience in nurse training and education.
- Experience with the biotechnical/pharmaceutical industry is an asset.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and administrative skills.
- Strong operational, budgeting, and reporting skills.
- Proven leadership in change management and strategic planning.
- Business acumen and experience working with KOLs.

- Excellent clinical nursing skills, including IV initiation and physical assessment.
