Help guide the financial planning behind Ontario's transportation priorities!
Are you a finance professional who wants to see the direct impact of your work on major public investments, infrastructure projects, and transportation services used by millions of Ontarians?
Join the Ministry of Transportation's Finance Branch, where you will provide strategic financial analysis and advice that helps guide some of the province's most significant transportation priorities. From supporting transit agencies and transfer payment programs to overseeing multi-billion-dollar capital investments, your work will influence decisions that keep Ontario moving.
We are currently hiring Business and Fiscal Planning Advisors in two offices:
In the Agency Financial Oversight Office, you will support financial oversight of Metrolinx, the Ontario Northland Transportation Commission and the Owen Sound Transportation Company, as well as the Ministry's numerous transfer payment programs. The office is the Ministry's central point of contact for agency and transfer payment financial matters, including expenditure management, revenue forecasting, payments, financial planning and business planning.
In the Capital Planning and Strategies Office, working with Ministry and agency partners, you will support the budgeting, financial management and reporting of major Metrolinx infrastructure programs and projects. The office provides strategic financial advice throughout the annual budget cycle and coordinates the Ministry's in-year capital Treasury Board submissions.
In either office, you will work with partners across the Ministry and its' agencies to provide analysis and advice, strengthen financial processes and support responsible decision-making.
Positions are available in both the Agency Financial Oversight Office and the Capital Planning and Strategies Office. In these roles, you will provide financial analysis and advice that supports Ministry priorities, accountability and informed decision-making.
