Qualifications

- Build, maintain, and audit complex real estate financial models (DCF, IRR, sensitivity analyses, waterfall structures) in Excel to evaluate new acquisitions, developments, and asset repositioning.
- Create and manage dashboards and reporting tools using Power BI for portfolio performance, investment tracking, and decision support.
- Conduct property and portfolio valuations, market research, and benchmarking analysis to support strategic recommendations.
- Collaborate with asset management, acquisitions, finance, and development teams on financial feasibility studies and investment presentations.
- Analyze operating and financial data from Yardi and other internal systems to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Assist with investor reporting, pitch decks, and due diligence for capital raises or dispositions.
- Stay current with Toronto/GTA real estate trends, economic factors, and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in real estate investment, finance, private equity, or asset management, with a focus on modeling and analysis.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including nested formulas, macros, and dynamic financial modeling.
- Strong experience with Power BI for data visualization and business intelligence.
- Familiarity with Yardi or similar property management/accounting platforms.
- Solid understanding of real estate valuation methodologies (income approach, comparables, cost).
- Post-secondary degree in Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Professional designation or progress toward CFA or FRM strongly preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail, communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
