ABOUT THE ROLE

The Business Analyst (New Grad) is responsible for providing operational and administrative support to the Calgary Asphalt division’s business growth and development. The Business Analyst will serve as a role model in safety, environmental stewardship, leadership, teamwork, customer focus, and continuous improvement to ensure alignment with the company’s vision and critical success factors. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position offers development opportunities for a new graduate to gain extensive experience within our Asphalt business and build a long-term career at Lafarge.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

• Create and maintain process and system documentation.
• Conduct data entry tasks such as production entries in SAP.
• Assist in developing strategies and objectives for sales, pricing, and profitability.
• Carry out plant and site inspections for quality assurance.
• Assist area management in planning, coordinating, and supervising production activities.
• Coordinate with sales, operations managers, quality control personnel, and other operational teams on project details, information handling, problem resolution, and report development.
• Problem solve issues arising in production facilities and on job sites.
• Ensure compliance with internal control procedures.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology, features, and industry trends to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
• Demonstrate commitment to safety, health, and environmental policies, promoting a culture of safety.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Education: Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree or diploma.

Field of Study: Business, Engineering, or related discipline.

Work Experience: Prior experience in asphalt or construction industry is an asset.

Technical Skills: SAP, Google Suite, Excel.

Travel: 0-10%
