About The Role

The Business Analyst (New Grad) is responsible for providing operational and administrative support to the Calgary Asphalt division’s business growth and development. The Business Analyst will serve as a role model in safety, environmental stewardship, leadership, teamwork, customer focus, and continuous improvement to ensure alignment with the company’s vision and critical success factors. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this position offers development opportunities to gain experience within our Asphalt business and build a long-term career at Lafarge.

What You’ll Accomplish
  • Create and maintain process and system documentation.
  • Conduct data entry tasks such as production entries in SAP.
  • Assist in developing strategies and objectives for sales, pricing, and profitability.
  • Carry out plant and site inspections for quality assurance.
  • Assist area management in planning, coordinating, and supervising production activities.
  • Coordinate with sales, operation managers, quality control personnel, and other teams on project details, information handling, problem resolution, and reporting.
  • Problem solve issues that arise in production facilities and on job sites.
  • Ensure compliance with internal control procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge on technology, features, and industry trends to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
  • Promote a culture of safety and adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments.
What We’re Looking For

Education: Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree or diploma.

Field of Study: Business, Engineering, or related discipline.

Work Experience: Prior experience in asphalt or construction industry is an asset.

Technical Skills: SAP, Google Suite, Excel.

Travel Requirements: 0-10%
