• 8+ years IT industry experience with 5+ years in BA/ITBA roles supporting technology delivery initiatives.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid delivery environments.
• Experience gathering, analyzing, and managing business and functional requirements.
• Strong requirements elicitation, business-process analysis, and systems thinking skills.
• Hands-on in creating user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and documentation.
• Experience partnering with QA/QE teams on testing, defect triage, and UAT.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end requirements management from discovery through implementation and post-release support.
• Elicit, analyze, document, validate, and manage business, functional, system, and data requirements.
• Translate requirements into epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria for Agile delivery.
• Facilitate workshops with business SMEs, Product, Compliance, Operations, vendors, and tech stakeholders.
• Create process maps, workflows, BRDs, TRDs, and supporting documentation.
• Identify integrations, data mappings, and dependencies to support solution design.
• Maintain end-to-end requirements traceability across artifacts and tests.
• Collaborate with QA to develop test scenarios, support UAT and defect resolution.
• Support Agile/Scrum delivery activities including backlog refinement and sprint planning.
• Act as liaison across business, operations, product, and technology to align with stakeholder needs.

Introduction: Robertson is seeking a skilled Business Analyst - IT III form to join our client in support of an existing vacancy.

Contract Period: 12 months

Pay Rate: Starting form $46 per hour

Location: Waterloo, ON

Location Type: Hybrid

Business Hours: Monday-Friday, Core Business hours

Job Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end requirements management, from discovery and requirements elicitation through implementation and post-release support
• Elicit, analyze, document, validate, and manage business, functional, system, and data requirements
• Translate business requirements into well-defined epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria to enable Agile delivery
• Facilitate workshops and working sessions with business SMEs, Product, Compliance, Operations, vendors, and technology stakeholders
• Analyze current business processes and develop process maps, workflows, business rules, data definitions, BRDs, TRDs, and supporting documentation
• Support solution design by identifying integrations, data mappings, process impacts, and upstream/downstream dependencies
• Maintain end-to-end requirements traceability across requirements, development artifacts, test cases, and delivered solutions
• Work with Quality Engineering and business teams to develop test scenarios, support UAT and defect resolution, and validate that delivered solutions meet business outcomes
• Support Agile/Scrum delivery activities including backlog refinement, sprint planning, prioritization, and delivery execution
• Serve as a key liaison across business, operations, product, and technology teams, helping ensure the solution being developed remains aligned with stakeholder needs

Experience & Qualification Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline; the source identifies a master's degree as an additional asset
• Demonstrated experience working within Agile/Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid delivery environments
• Strong understanding of requirements elicitation and management, business-process analysis, systems thinking, testing, UAT, and technology implementation
• Financial services experience is identified in the source requirements, along with an ability to operate effectively in complex, highly regulated environments
• 8+ years of overall IT industry experience, with 5+ years in a Business Analyst / Business Systems Analyst / Technology Business Systems Analyst / IT Business Analyst capacity supporting technology delivery initiatives
• Experience gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing business and functional requirements
• Experience supporting Agile delivery teams and Agile ceremonies
• Hands-on experience developing user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and requirements documentation
• Experience partnering with QA/QE teams on testing, defect triage, and UAT
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum, Kanban, and hybrid delivery environments is relevant to the role
