Key Responsibilities As the Business Analyst, you will be responsible for: Requirements Gathering and Analysis Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and objectives Elicit, document, and analyze business requirements to ensure alignment with organizational goals Process Mapping and Improvement Analyze and model current business processes using tools like flowcharts or BPMN diagrams Identify areas for optimization and recommend improved processes to enhance efficiency Documentation and Communication Develop functional specifications, process flows, use cases, and business rules.

Communicate findings, recommendations, and requirements to stakeholders and technical teams Solution Design and Evaluation Work with IT teams to design technical solutions that meet business requirements Evaluate and propose enhancements to systems and workflows to support business strategies Testing and Quality Assurance Develop and execute test plans to ensure solutions meet requirements.

Collaborate with QA teams to identify defects and verify that changes do not negatively impact existing processes Change Management and Training Support Assist in implementing changes by coordinating with teams and facilitating user training Provide support during transitions to new systems or processes, ensuring stakeholders understand the impact What You Bring Education: College diploma or university degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or Information Systems Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA), Project Management Professional (PMP) Experience and Expertise: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst in an IT environment.

Experience working with business stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement changes in a technology-driven context Proven experience with process mapping and improvement methodologies (e.g., BPMN, Lean, Six Sigma) is an asset Skills and Abilities: Strong understanding of core business processes and operations Proven expertise in business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modelling, and verification Experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software, hardware, and system solutions Ability to create detailed, consistent requirements specifications in both technical and user-friendly language Proficiency in applying statistical and research methods to systems and processes Strong project management skills, including knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and creative thinking abilities High attention to detail and a logical, efficient approach to work Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team Other Requirements: Must possess and maintain a valid Class “G” Ontario driver’s license and have access to a personal vehicle for work-related travel within Windsor and/or the County of Essex Must provide a Ministry of Transportation Driver Abstract (Uncertified) Must provide a Police Information Check (PIC) document Availability to work weekends and afternoon/night shifts as required What We Are Offering As a CUPE 2974.1 position, this role is on Band 11 with a starting hourly rate of $35.71 is just the beginning.
