Job description

The Business Analyst - Finance will be responsible for driving enhancements for Finance functions within Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365) and integrated applications such as Exflow, Adyen, and TAS. This role also serves as the main point of support for both the Business and Technology groups.

This is a hybrid role based out of our Toronto office.

WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE

• Provide overall vision and ERP system expertise, supporting modules to facilitate continuous improvement.
• Prioritize scope items related to Finance, assessing business impact, complexity, delivery, and training needs.
• Collaborate with business users to understand challenges and leverage D365 and other systems to resolve them. Translate global and local business needs into system and application solutions, and assist in creating test cases for QA testing and UAT.
• Gather requirements from multiple sources and translate them into documented needs, including business requirements and functional specifications.
• Identify business solution tools and data flows, developing workflow diagrams with multiple swim lanes using industry-standard tools.
• Work closely with software developers, project managers, and business users to translate requirements into successful technical deliveries.
• Coordinate with Finance & Accounting to ensure seamless operational ERP information flow into Financials, specifically AR, AP, and GL.
• Assist in prioritizing project deliverables and roadmaps, including sprint reports, design decisions, CRP test cases, and modifications.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE

• At least 3 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst with a University Degree in a relevant field such as Applied Science or Industrial Engineering.
• Ability to elicit requirements, document current and future state business process flows, perform GAP analysis, and propose viable solutions.
• Strong understanding of Procure to Pay (Purchasing, Production, AP Invoicing, AP Payment) and Order to Cash (B2B / B2C Orders, Invoicing, Flow of Goods, Cash).
• Proficient in financial business processes related to General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash & Bank, Fixed Assets, Budgeting, Tax, and Supply Chain Finance.
• Experience implementing and/or operating D365 or comparable systems is preferred.
