You will partner with Risk Management, Middle Office, Finance, Solutions, and Technology to identify, evaluate, and remediate data quality and risk-processing issues affecting Market Risk calculations.

Qualifications

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join a strategic Market Risk initiative at a leading Financial Institution downtown Toronto. This individual will partner closely with Risk Management, Middle Office, Finance, Solutions, and Technology teams to identify, evaluate, and remediate data quality, control, and risk-processing issues impacting Market Risk calculations. The role requires a strong balance of business analysis expertise, process improvement, stakeholder management, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable technology solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Partner with stakeholders across Risk Management, Middle Office, Finance, Solutions, and Technology to identify, prioritize, and drive remediation of data quality and control issues.
• Analyze current-state processes, data flows, controls, filtering logic, and manual adjustments to determine root causes and improvement opportunities.
• Facilitate workshops and working sessions to align stakeholders on remediation strategies and target-state solutions.
• Elicit, document, and manage business requirements, process designs, solution options, and implementation roadmaps.
• Collaborate with technology teams to translate business requirements into implementable solutions and support testing efforts.
• Support the development of governance frameworks, ownership models, and sustainable control processes to improve risk capture and reduce manual intervention.
• Drive initiatives focused on addressing data issues at the source and enhancing the quality and integrity of Market Risk calculations.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- 3-5+ years of Business Analysis experience within Capital Markets, Risk Management, Finance, Middle Office, or Risk Technology environments.

- Strong SQL proficiency, including the ability to query, analyze, and validate large datasets independently.

- Proven experience working with business stakeholders and technology teams to define, design, document, and implement solutions.
