Business Analyst (Client Services)
The Business Analyst (BA) will bring project coordination, requirements elicitation and documentation skills that are essential to efficiently and swiftly deliver on a range of project mandates. The BA will be a seasoned, hands-on professional who has a meticulous eye for detail, is naturally inquisitive and can move comfortably between the business and IT.
Responsibilities
- Help establish organization and order to a number of initiatives that are currently in various stages of the project lifecycle
- Guide stakeholders through the creation of current state process maps and designs desired state processes
- Drive GAP analysis, requirements gathering and Future State workshops with confidence by fostering collaboration among teams in a novel way and with expertise. To be an expert facilitator who captures and documents information accurately and effectively
- Create Use Cases, Personas and User Journeys to truly understand the end-users, the ways we can make their lives easier, and help in maximizing the value derived from their activities for the firm
- Create and revise Business Requirements Documents (BRDs); thereby translating business requirements into functional specifications
- Administer solution testing with end-users
- Serve as a liaison between Business Sponsors, Vendors and Technology – maintain a close working relationship to elicit business requirements and discuss scoping decisions
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, business management, or another field or related equivalent work experience
- Business Analysis and/or Agile certifications are highly desirable
- 5+ years experience in a business analysis role or similar, designing business process models and documenting current processes, creating BRDs and managing requirements, developing Use Cases, Personas, User journeys, Wireframes, Mock-ups, and performing Data Analysis
- Experience with Visio and other process mapping tools
- Experience in a legal or professional services environment is highly desirable
- Knowledge of Visualization tools and know-how to facilitate data-driven decisions is highly desirable (e.g Power BI or Tableau)
- Having excellent communication skills with both team members and internal business constituents. The ideal candidate is comfortable mediating between user needs, business objectives, and technical feasibility with confidence
- Continued drive for excellence and high quality, despite frequent iterations, uncertainty, changes in priority, scope, and stakeholders
- Consulting experience is desirable
- This is a global role requiring regular work outside normal business hours to communicate with people in multiple time zones
