Job summary

MNP is seeking a Business Analyst for its Technology – Solution Delivery team in Canada. You will help transform business needs into actionable technology solutions, bridging the gap between operations and IT with a strong emphasis on bilingual collaboration with English- and French-speaking teams.

You will elicit requirements, craft user stories, and guide project work with stakeholders across the firm, ensuring quality deliverables and timely milestones.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of related work experience.
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate requirements gathering workshops with business stakeholders; both in person and remote.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels.
• Excellent requirements gathering skills; capture business processes using existing docs and walkthroughs.
• Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies; experience in an Agile development environment.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, document and validate business requirements using methods such as research, interviews, document analysis, and process analysis.
• Develop user stories and features from analysis models.
• Create viable specifications and acceptance criteria ensuring accuracy and relevance of requirements.
• Liaise between business and technology teams to analyze system functionality and capabilities.
• Work with SMEs and stakeholders to understand system functionality and develop knowledge of Firm programs and systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve technology systems and participate in developing innovative solutions.
• Guide development teams on projects with documentation, test data, demo videos, UAT, and timely delivery.
• Collaborate with product owners, project managers, SMEs, and technical leads to deliver value.
• Facilitate stakeholder consensus on design and implementation decisions.
• Occasionally act as project manager for smaller projects with plans, timelines and milestones.
• Track status, risks, blockers and keep stakeholders informed.
• Coordinate resources by managing project performance and ensuring timely deliverables.
• Draft clear, succinct reports and correspondence; develop understanding of MNP’s services.

• Act as a project manager on smaller projects from time to timeby developing project plans, timelines, and milestones
• Track project status, risks, blockers, and update stakeholders proactively
• Coordinate resources by managing project performance and ensuring timely execution of deliverables
• Draft clear, succinct, and well-organized reports and correspondence relevant to the reader, and develop a thorough understanding of MNP’s services, businesses, and industry

Skills and Experience

• 3 to 5 years of related work experience
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate requirements gathering workshops and collaboration with business stakeholders, both in person and remote
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels
• Excellent requirements gathering skills, ability to capture business processes using both existing process documentation and process walkthroughs with the staff performing the process
• Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Visio, Word, Excel and PowerPoint,Project
• Demonstrated knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies
• Experience working in an Agile development environment
• Experience working with the following is considered an asset:
  • Application development teams on custom built applications
  • Wireframing or UI prototyping tools
  • Previous system integration projects
  • Azure DevOps
• Written and verbal French and English language skills, due to frequent collaboration with English-speaking teams/clients across Canada and some client deliverables/regulatory reporting obligation are in English
