Job summary

MNP is seeking a Business Analyst to join its Technology – Solution Delivery team. You will elicit and analyze business requirements, develop user stories, and liaise between business and technology teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

You will work in a bilingual English/French environment across Canada, collaborating with stakeholders to drive digital transformation for mid-market clients.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of related work experience.
• Facilitate requirements gathering workshops with business stakeholders (in person and remote).
• Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Capture business processes using existing process documentation and walkthroughs.
• Knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies; experience in an Agile development environment.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and related tools is an asset.
• Written and verbal French and English language skills due to collaboration across Canada.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, document and validate business requirements using various tools.
• Develop user stories and features from analysis models.
• Create viable specifications and acceptance criteria.
• Liaise between business and technology teams to analyze system functionality.
• Understand system functionality with SMEs and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve technology systems and deliver innovative solutions.
• Guide development teams with documentation, test data, and timely delivery.
• Collaborate with product owners and project managers to deliver value to stakeholders.
• Facilitate stakeholder consensus on design and implementation decisions.
• Occasionally act as a project manager on smaller projects.
• Track project status, risks, blockers, and update stakeholders.
• Coordinate resources to ensure timely execution of deliverables.
• Draft clear reports and develop understanding of MNP’s services.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, analyze, document and validate business requirements using a variety of tools including research, interviews, document analysis, and process analysis
• Develop user stories and features from analysis models
• Create viable specifications and acceptance criteriaby ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and relevance of requirements
• Liaise between multiple business and technology teams to analyze and assess system functionality and capabilities
• Work with operations SMEs & stakeholders to fully understand system functionality and develop in-depth working knowledge of Firm programs and systems
• Identify opportunities to improve technology systems that positively impact the business and participate in developing innovative approaches and solutions to resolve issues
• Guide the development teams on multiple projects with required system documentation, Test Data, Demo Videos, UAT, and timely delivery
• Collaborate with product owners, program/project managers, SMEs, and technical leadsto create solutions that deliver value to stakeholders
• Facilitate stakeholder consensus on design and implementation decisions
• Act as a project manager on smaller projects from time to timeby developing project plans, timelines, and milestones
• Track project status, risks, blockers, and update stakeholders proactively
• Coordinate resources by managing project performance and ensuring timely execution of deliverables
• Draft clear, succinct, and well-organized reports and correspondence relevant to the reader, and develop a thorough understanding of MNP’s services, businesses, and industry

Skills and Experience

• 3 to 5 years of related work experience
• Demonstrated ability to facilitate requirements gathering workshops and collaboration with business stakeholders, both in person and remote
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels
• Excellent requirements gathering skills, ability to capture business processes using both existing process documentation and process walkthroughs with the staff performing the process
• Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Visio, Word, Excel and PowerPoint,Project
• Demonstrated knowledge of Waterfall and Agile methodologies
• Experience working in an Agile development environment
• Experience working with the following is considered an asset:
  • Application development teams on custom built applications
  • Wireframing or UI prototyping tools
  • Previous system integration projects
  • Azure DevOps
• Written and verbal French and English language skills, due to frequent collaboration with English-speaking teams/clients across Canada and some client deliverables/regulatory reporting obligation are in English
