Job summary

Elk Island Public Schools is seeking a temporary part-time Bus Monitor at Salisbury Composite High in Sherwood Park. The role supports Student Transportation with morning and afternoon routes under the 10-month calendar, starting Oct 29, 2026, and ending June 28, 2027.

Daily rate is $50.45 CAD, with work hours 7:50–8:20 each morning and 3:20–3:50 each afternoon. You will supervise students during transfers, assist special needs students, and contribute to a safe, respectful bus environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working with students.
• Experience working in or volunteering in a school setting is an asset.
• Bus driving experience would be an asset.
• Behavior Management training is an asset.

EIPS is recruiting a temporary part-time Bus Monitor (Salisbury Composite High, Sherwood Park) with our Student Transportation department.

Our Student Transportation department transports over 9,000 students, operates 163 buses, and over 500 bus routes on a daily basis. Students are transported directly or through transfer sites throughout the school division. Student Transportation department is located at our Central Office.

• Commencing October 29, 2026
• Ending June 28, 2027
• Salisbury Composite High, Sherwood Park
• Hours of work are Monday to Friday, mornings from 7:50 am to 8:20 am and afternoons 3:20 pm to 3:50 pm. The days of work are based on the 10-month school calendar. Please note hours will change to accommodate early dismissal on Wednesdays (one hour earlier).
