Job summary

Delmanor Communities seeks a dedicated driver to provide safe transportation for residents and guests. This full-time, permanent role involves maintaining vehicle safety, ensuring excellent resident experiences, and performing light maintenance. Ideal candidates will have a Class B driving license, good communication skills, and a First Aid Certificate, with a commitment to enriching the lives of seniors.

Qualifications

• 3 years’ experience driving a Class B vehicle (bus).
• Insurability for driving at regular rates—good driving record for the past 3 years.
• Experience working with mature adults is an asset.

What you’ll do:

• Drive Residents or guests to scheduled destinations, safely and following all laws, policies and procedures, assisting with exiting and entering the vehicle.
• Perform daily cleaning & safety and maintenance checks, performing minor fixes, and reporting repair needs to the General Manager.
• Cheerfully greet Residents and provide a great Delmanor experience
• Other duties may be assigned to support the Environmental Services Manager

What you bring:

• 3 years’ experience driving a Class B vehicle (bus)
• Insurability for driving at regular rates—good driving record for the past 3 years
• Good written and verbal communication, and effective problem-solving skills
• First Aid Certificate
• Experience working with mature adults is an asset
