Job summary

JobsMedia.io is hiring for a general labour position in Saint-Henri, QC. You will operate metalworking equipment, read blueprints, assemble parts, and maintain a clean, safe work area. This role offers day shifts and a 40-hour work week.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of experience, no degree required, and is comfortable working with hand and power tools. English or French language is acceptable, with training provided on the job.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines or equipment which weld, solder, bolt, screw or rivet metal parts together.
• Select and transport material to work area manually or using crane or hoist.
• Perform general labouring duties.
• Operate or tend automatic or multi-purpose machines to produce metal parts and metal products.
• Fit and assemble components using hand and power tools.
• Clean, polish, file or otherwise finish products.
• Check products for quality and other specifications.
• Fit and adjust parts.
• Clean work area.
• Ensure adherence to safety regulations.
• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements.
